Sometimes the war is within,
there you must face your invisible enemy.
"Multiple Sclerosis like many autoimmune diseases is often unseen and unheard outside of yourself. While you silently fight in internal trenches over the course of numerous battles fixed on winning the war within, others are unable to see your invisible struggles. Others aside, find comfort and confidence inside.
In your body that's become a battlefield, you are in control, not of MS but of your response to it. Therein lies your superpower." |
About Allié
At the age of 41, Allié was diagnosed with MS. While a number of symptoms (unexplained numbness, fatigue, imbalance and weakness) presented themselves years before, she didn't recognize them as 'symptoms' until a trip to the emergency room due to complete loss of vision in her right eye. An MRI would reveal numerous lesions on her brain and severe inflammation and degradation of her optical nerve. The culprit was identified and confirmed as Multiple Sclerosis. The day the diagnosis came is the day her fight as an 'MS Warrior' began, as she (like many) was forced to fight a battle within, an incurable disease and invisible enemy.
