I never imagined after having a baby that spent 61 days in the NICU that fifteen years later we would hear those four dreaded words, "Your child has cancer."

Once we came out the other side we were left emotionally bruised and battered. Even though the initial fight for survival was complete, the battle had just begun. The journey was full of fear, loneliness, and sleepless nights just to name a few.

​My mission is to help others through the trials of having a child with cancer, and understanding that you have survived something ridiculously brave. The truth is, the entire time you were never alone.

"AwareNow is the platform that we have needed to bring awareness to many different causes. It allows for people all over the world to bring our voices together for those causes that drive our passion, but most of all drive our purpose from pain we have experienced. My name is Jenny and I live in the Midwest with my husband and son. Fifteen years ago the unthinkable happened and our son, then two and a half years old was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. It was a world that we were thrown into, and it happens without warning. The diagnosis of pediatric cancer is a lifelong journey. I have made it my mission to not only help those facing the battle of childhood cancer, but those who face traumatic trials in life with the reminder that "The Truth Is" it isn't a matter of if there will be trials, but when. I chose to rise up, use my voice and be a light in the darkness to those who are struggling. My faith and determination have brought me to where I am today.
